During May of 2015, a private tour through the wine regions of northeast Italy in Friuli Venezia Giulia, from Udine into Slovenia. This part of the world makes delicious international varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Merlot, and their local varieties Schioppettino (red) and Refosco (red) and Verduzzo (white) are crisp, fresh, and delightful! Beautiful landscape of rolling hills, cool climate, off-the-path rustic wineries and pleasant winery hosts made this trip a top-of-the-list experience!
